Sean and Patricia’s Achill Wedding

Its St.Patrick’s weekend and once again I find myself in Beautiful Achill .
The sun may not have been shining be there was surly a ray of Sunshine when I got to Patricia Kilane’s house in Cloughmore.
The Ladies were almost ready and looking fantastic.
At approx 1.20pm the wedding cars departed for the church in Dereens where over 270 guests were packed into the church and being sheparded by Fr.Gormley.
At 1.30pm the ladies proudly marched up the Aisle and at 2.45pm the new Mr. and Mrs. Joyce exited the church.
Our first stop on the way to Mulranny was Pattens pub where a feast of Beer, Buns and tea was laid on for the guests.
Off then to the “Mulranny Inn” for the reception where Emeir and her staff were waiting to greet the couple .
At approx 6pm we were called into the main ballroom for the meal and at 7.45pm our bestman Jason, All the way from New Zealand, rose to his feet and began the speeches.
Well done Jason.
Our entertainment for the evening was in Three parts. First our band Concord hit the stage at 10pm followed by the “Straw Boys’ who really entertained the crowd. Then it was the turn of the “Visiting Team!” who treated us to the “HAKA” Well done the lads, great show.
