Niall and Sharon

Niall and Sharon Geoghegan were married on the 4th of June 2010 in the little church of St.Josephs in Valleymount.
The day began at Balfe’s farm where Sharon and the girls, Carol and Claire were busy with hair and make up. Not that they needed any, these lady’s looked fantastic!.
After some twirls and spins in the garden (see video ) it was off to the church at just after 12.30 where Niall, John and James were waiting.
Fr.Teddy Downes was on hand to welcome the bridal party and at 1pm the ceremony started.
At approx 2pm the new Mr and Mrs Geoghegan exited the building. Then just a short hop down to the lake side for some photos with our very entertaining photographer, Nigel Gillis.
At 3.30pm we entered the grounds of “The Clanard Court Hotel” where our guests were soaking up the “punch!.
The reception kicked off at 6.30 and Bestman John Geoghegan, our master of ceremonys, handled the proceedings with gusto.
Our entertainment for the night was provided by “After Dark” who rocked the night away till the wee hours.

David and Yvonne

David and Yvonne Roach were married on the 28th of May in St. Brendans church in Coolock.
I arrived at 76 Clonshaugh at 11.30am just as the bridal party were finishing off the hair and make up. All looked great.
At approx 12.30pm we were in the back garden and doing a twirl!. (see video).
Just a short hop around the corner in the church where David and the lads were waiting.
At 1.pm the bridal party entered the church and Fr.Mark was there to welcome them.
After a wonderfull ceremony we released two doves outside the church and then headed off to the Carrickdale Hotel in Dundalk.
After some interesting shots in the gardens (again see video) we entered the ballroom at 6pm to enjoy a fine country meal.
Our master of ceremonies, Liam, conducted order as the speakers delivered their pieces.
After some Karaoke we were then treated to some real irish dancing by the very popular Celtic Rhytme.
All in all a great day was had by all.

Colin and Mairead

Colin and Mairead Wallace were married in the church of the Immaculate Conception in Glin on Saturday the 29th of May.
When I called to the Horans farm that morning, Mairead and the girls were just finishing off the hair and make up and looking fantastic. Just the champaige to open and it was off to the church in Glin.
Colin and the boys had arrived early and at just after 2pm Fr. Cranford welcomed the bridal party into the church.
At just after 4.15pm the new Mr and Mrs Wallace exited the church and made tracks to the Listowel arms hotel.
Over 250 guests sat for dinner and at 7pm our master of ceremonys, Thomas Horan rose to his feet and began the speeches.
Sometimes emotional and sometimes cheefull, well done Thomas.
At approx 10pm the Band, Midnight Sounds struck the first note.
I belive they are still playing.

Brian and Lyndsey

Brian and Lyndsey were married in St.Peter and Pauls church on the 29th of May 2010.
The day started off where it would finish, The mighty Roganstown Country Club.
When James (our cameraman) arrived at 12noon the girls preparations were well under way. All looked great.
Off then to the church, St Peter and Pauls in Balbriggan where Brian and the lads were waiting.
At just after 2pm Lyndsey entered the church and exited at 3pm as Mrs O’ Leary.
A 20 minute drive and we were back at Roganstown where the manager and staff were on hand to welcome the bridal party and guests.
At just after 7pm our bestman, Alan Grimes began the speeches. Well done Alan.
Our man left at 10pm with the party still in full swing.

Conor and Pamela

Conor and Pamela Cassidy were married on the 22th of May 2010 at the quaint setting of Balyna House at the Moyvalley resort in Co kildare.
Our day started at cottage no.3 where Pamela and the girls were busy getting hair and make up ready.
At approx 2.30pm all 5 girls were ready and looking good!.
Meanwhile over at the hall the lads (in full scottish Kilts) were looking well Scottish!, and very dashing.
At just after 3pm the bridal party walked down the aisle to the delight of all present, including the cameraman.
Our celebrant “Gabrielle” was on hand to preform a beautiful ceremony. All agreed it was probably the nicest ceremony we had witnessed.
Just a short walk then to “Balyna House” but on the way the couple had layed on an ice cream van. Great touch on such a sunny day.
At 6.15pm our master of ceremonys Daniel O’Neill rose to his feet and began the speeches. Well done Dan a job well done.
While this was a wedding to remember the couple had one more suprise. Our groomsman Mich Cassidy ordered the guests outside. When he produced a box of :Chineese Lantrens” the fun began. (see video clip).
An hour later our DJ the very popular and funky! Aidan Kavanagh summoned us back to the ballroom for the first dance.
I left at 12 midnight and as I write this report i believe the party is still going on.

Clive and Corinna

Clive and Corinna were married on the 8th of May 2010 in St.Colmcille’s church, Knocklyon.
I arrived at number 17 Knocklyon court at approx 11.15am where upon I entered a hive of activity. Hair and make up were well under way and boy did the girls look smashing.
At just after 12.30 I arrived at the church where Clive and the gang were waiting. They did not have long to wait as the bridal party were right on time.
At 1.15pm Corinna and her dad walked proudly up the aisle and at 2.15 Corinna and her new husband left by the same door.
Off then to the beautiful ‘Station house” hotel in Kilmessan. As can be see in the video clip the venue looked fantastic in the warm sunshine.
After our after dinner speeches, which were conducted under the auspices of our bestman Keith, we did not have to wait long for the entertainment to arrive and begin the boggying!.
The band “Jonney B Goode” rocked the night away and did not disappoint .
All in all a great day and night.

Jackie and Richard

Richard and Jackie were married in the Sacred heart church in Glengarriff Co Cork.
Upon arrival at the Bridal house I was met by a bridal party who had everything under control. Hair and make were almost ready, just the finishing touches.
At approx 11am we were on our way to the church where Richard and the men were waiting. (Nervously).
Fr.Paudrig was on hand to marry the pair of them and at just after 1.15pm the new Mr. and Mrs. Brennan emerged.
Off then to the magnificent “Gleneagles” hotel in Killarney for the reception.
Our best man Chris Manning was on hand to guide us through the formalities.
Well done Chris.
On the stroke of 10pm the band struck the first note and we partied the night away.

John and Shirley

John and Shirley Flanagan were married on the 30th of April 2010 at St.Brendans church in Birr.
Our man arrived at Lusmagh in Banagher at approx 12pm and by all accounts it was all go as the ladies suited up and got the make-up on.
At 1pm all were ready and it was off to St.Brendans where John and the gang were waiting.
Rev.Wayne Carney was on hand to welcome the bridal party and at 1.45 pm they were walking up the aisle.
At 2.45 the couple left the church as Mr. and Mrs. Flanagan. After a quick photo call the wedding party began the journey to the Impressive “Sheraton” hotel in Athlone.
At just before 7.30pm Aidan Flanagan tipped his glass and began the speeches.
At 10pm our entertainment for the evening .”The Weightless Astronauts” blasted off with a great set of rock”n” roll and swing time sets. A great night for all.

Fergal and Cathy

Fergal and Cathy were married in Ferrybank church on the 1st of May 2010.
Our day started at 31 Avondale Lawns where it was all hands on deck as the ladies prepared for the day ahead.
Dad was busy suiting up when I arrived.
At 2pm all was ready at the church as Fergal arrived in style in a Lotus Elise. This groom meant busines!
At approx 2.15pm the bridal party entered the church and at 3.15 emerged as Mr and Mrs Melia.
Just a short distance away was the elegant Faithlegg House hotel where Jean and staff were on hand to welcome the couple. (This was familar ground to the groom having played 9 holes at dawn. Start as you mean to go on!).
At 6pm the bestman was on his feet and began the speeches. First prize goes to Cathys father for a brilliant piece which was funny, entertaining, emotional and heath warming. Well done Sir.
Our entertainment for the evening was provided by the super group Seattle who rocked the night away.

Cathal and Jane

Cathal and Jane were married on the 30th of April in St.Pauls church Mullingar.
Our day started off at Gleann Petit where it was all business as the girls got ready.
Jane and Orla looked beautiful and at approx 1.45pm, just as the sun came out, the lady’s made off for the church where Cathal and bestman Niall were waiting.
At just after 3.30pm the couple left the church as Mr and Mrs Whitney.
Off then to the Marriott Johnston House for the reception. This place has to be see to be belived, Magnificent.
As the clock struck 7pm, Niall our bestman, jumped to his feet and lead us through the speeches.
The entertainment for the night was provided by Raindance.
I left at 11pm, word is they are still partying as I write.
